Premises Hygiene Issues Set to Intensify

It’s currently rodent season in Brisbane. Rats and mice are more likely to cause commercial hygiene issues in the cooler months. Rats and mice still pop in over the summer months however, are easier to target with commercial pest control than the scourge of summer– roaches.

Brisbane Cockroaches

Controlling cockroaches in a dining precinct means every restaurant must comply with food safety standards for cockroach pest control. It only takes one grotty restaurant to infect those around it. The Brisbane City Council food safety reports over summer generally see a spike in restaurant hygiene complaints, often based on cockeroach sightings.

It’s problematic because a single cockroach can ruin a food business. Cockroaches can fly. They will infest through drainage and building defects. Even the cleanest restaurant can be ruined by a single cockroach incident, if there are enough customers making reports. The only real way to keep your Eat Safe Certification is to comply fully with restaurant hygiene regulations and use a thorough, reliable Brisbane pest control company.” Said Keith Jacobs, commercial pest control specialist.
