What’s your opinion on eczema or similar?

Bit of a weird question. Long story short recently I started getting dermatitis on my face, it got bad but it’s getting better, but I just feel like guys would be repulsed by it. I mean, it’s not that bad, but you can see it if that makes sense. I used to consider myself relatively attractive before and it’s taken a hit on my confidence

(I have a boyfriend from before it happened and he doesn’t say he minds, and I have no plans on leaving or anything, just purely asking out of curiosity)

  1. I have it on my face too and it definitely affects your confidence, and sucks. It’s also improved for me recently, to where now I only need to use Aveeno (sp?) moisturizer to clear up the dry skin. I have noticed a diet high in leafy greens helps it a lot too.

  2. Try sulfur soap. It dries the living fuck out of your skin so use toner and lotion after.

The way to use it though is get in the shower with the soap and a washcloth, get wet and soap the shit out of the washcloth. Then turn the water off for ten minutes and rub your whole body down. Let the soap just sit there for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse and like I said prepare for the dryness.

IMO sulfur soap is a game changer.

  3. I have mild eczema. It’s not a problem most of the time, but it flares up every now and then and is annoying when it does. Luckily it always responds well to topical hydrocortisone cream that my doctor has prescribed for me.

It doesn’t affect my life all that much. I certainly wouldn’t mind if a partner had it, though if it were severe I could see it having a much greater quality of life impact.

  4. Eh, if your boyfriend says it doesn’t matter I would believe him.

Women often fret about all sorts of shit that men don’t even notice.

I know one girl who was convinced no one would be attracted to her because she had a wonky ass scar on her leg.

Exactly 0 guys I know would care.

A temporary skin condition isn’t going to put him off.
