  1. When I was growing up my mum would sometimes refer to me as a monster, or things like ‘I know you do x just to see me upset’.

Even now I sometimes struggle with letting people get to know me. I sometimes worry, even though I think I’m a good person, that if they get to know me they’ll find out I’m some sort of monster.

  2. I’d say not being accepted/ feeling welcome somewhere. I’ve always struggled to make friends and I feel like as men get older, people in general give less of a shit about you.

  3. My height. I’m barely 5’5, and wear cowboy or motorcycle boots a lot to try to give myself a few extra inches whenever I can. Thankfully, those fit my image, so it’s not like I get a ton of weird looks about them.

  4. Was pretty awkward and skinny in my school days. I cringe so hard on the inside everytime I remember them. I especially make the effort to avoid most people I went to school with.
