What activity could you still perform with ease in your 30s but got hard to perform in your 40s?

  1. I am 49. I will admit that if you go too long without exercise it’s harder to build stamina back up. But, other than that I would say things actually become easier. You become far more mature emotionally.

  2. Eating an entire burrito. I’m not joking! I used to eat a full on pillow sized burrito and fries along with a large coke. Don’t get me wrong, I paid the price for such foolishness, but I could do it. Now…. Half a burrito some fries and a bit of coke and I’m done for the day. I guess that’s a good thing…

  3. I can perform the same (or better, because in my mid thirties I started going to the gym more seriously). What I can’t is recover as fast.

The day itself I perform the same. It’s the price to pay the next day that gets steeper.
I need longer rests and it takes more days to all go back to normal after a weekend of partying.

  4. Pickup basketball. Sure I can get up and down the court. But the way I used to play?

Hard cuts and slashing to the basket days are long gone
