Roped, now on Netflix, is the perfect movie to watch if you’re essentially looking for a Hallmark Christmas movie, but with a lot less Christmas and a lot more yee-haw vibes. Hey, just because Netflix has Oscar-nominated films, that doesn’t mean the streaming service doesn’t also have comically bad made-for-TV films, too.
Though not a “Netflix Original,” Roped quietly made its streaming premiere on Netflix on May 3. Since then, it’s been catching the eye of Netflix subscribers because, well, hey, it’s quarantine. People want to watch something dumb, fun, and easy!
Because it’s a new film, there’s not much out there on the ol’ world wide web about Roped yet. If you’re looking for info, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s a primer on Roped 2020, including the Roped cast, plot, and trailer.

What is the Roped movie about? What is the Roped plot?
Colton Burtenshaw (Swickard) is a hot young traveling rodeo cowboy who comes to a small town that doesn’t like rodeos, because it’s run by evil liberals who hate freedom. Sorry, did I say freedom? I meant animal cruelty. Anyways, Tracey (Lorynn York) is the young girl who falls for Colton. The only problem? Tracey’s stick-in-the-mud liberal dad hates Colton and everything he stands for. Will these crazy kids find a way to make it work? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.
Is there a Roped trailer?
