  1. I’m honest with mine. Anytime I start to feel myself slipping into a depression hole I let her know. She helps bring me out by being there when I ask and leaving me alone when I ask.

  2. You avoid the resentment by finding a good outlet, ideally a professional. If you don’t believe in therapy, find spiritual guidance, if you don’t have that, go to your mother, if ou don’t have such a relationship with your mother, go to your doctor.

    Honestly, try to find a way to deal with it with the help of a person that isn’t your partner.

    It’s a matter of how bad the situation is. You can go to your SO if you have a cut on your back and you want a patch, but if you cut an artery you call in professionals. We have to deal with mental issues the same way. Find out what your SO is capable of tending to, and take the rest to a professional that can deal with it correctly and professionally.
